In previous years a number of businesses in Stockbridge have displayed a variety of papier mâché animals, including giraffes and elephants.  

2015 was the year of penguins and Ruth and partner Paul from Eden were at the fore-front of the Stockbridge Penguin Project, raising money for two local charities LifeCare and It’s Good to Give.  Over fifty local businesses decorated their plain papier mâché penguin, each with a dedicated ‘birthday’ and members of the public paid businesses a £1 to guess their birthday for a chance to win their penguin, with all proceeds raising over £1,000 to the dedicated charities.   As covered by STV Edinburgh.
